Within the Global Services function, the Technical Support team is part of Measurement and Control Solutions (MCS) organization in GE Energy Services.  This team support MCS customers worldwide. This position is for a Technical Support Specialist who will provide day-to-day technical assistance to customers with Measurement Solutions products. This position will initially be hired as a contractor and later on with possibility to be converted as a GE headcount.
*Follow department process and leverage existing technical library to respond on the telephone or online to support request from customers.
*Accurately and thoroughly log support cases into the case tracking system.
*Troubleshoot and find solutions to a variety of problems, with reproducing issues, possibly recreating customer technical environments if feasible. Responsible for follow up and updates on escalated issues from opening to closure according to customer requirements.
*Document all technical inquiries and develop solutions for the Knowledge Base.
*Drive customer satisfaction through commitment to quality.
*Performs other duties of a similar nature or level.
*Work as a member of a multi-disciplinary team in an open environment.

qualificações

*Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Instrumentations or equivalent science.

*Minimum 5 years’ experience in Service, field work, process related activities.

*Field experience configuring and installing Measurement Solutions products such as Flare Meters, Flow Meters, Moisture Meters, Gas solutions and Pressure meters.

*Industry experience in Oil and Gas production, refining or petrochemical plants as well as Aerospace pressure and moisture applications.

*Application knowledge of GE Sensing products.
*Ability to identify and drive process improvements.
*Ability to adapt quickly to change and work successfully in an evolving and culturally diverse environment.
*Proficiency in Microsoft Office products.
*Excellent communication and team skills.
*Strong work ethic.
*Fast learner with energy and enthusiasm for customer support.
*Fluent English is a must. Fluent Spanish is a differentiator.
